Without an account

You can open a situation page, do the activity and keep your instruction without signing up. Until you save to an account, your instruction, activity answers and check answers stay in this browser. Clear your site data to remove them.

With an account

When you save to an account, we store:

• Your email address, used to send sign-in codes.
• Your age band (under 13, 13 to 15, 16 to 17, or 18 and over) and your region. We ask so we can follow age rules, including turning social features off for younger people. People under 13 cannot create an account.
• Your instructions, including the text you write and edit, and earlier versions of an instruction you revised.
• Your activity completions, program progress, and check answers and results.
• Attribution: the campaign, video or link that brought you here, and the site you came from. For the site you came from we keep the host name only, not the full address.
• Your choices: analytics and marketing consent, notification and email preferences, and the terms version you accepted.
• If you use the iOS or Android app: a push notification token and your subscription status. Apple or Google handles payment; we do not receive card numbers.
• If you use sharing, households, gifts or team features: the records those features need, such as what you chose to share and who you shared it with.

Your instructions are private by default. We do not send your instructions, reflections or check answers to analytics, to error tracking, or to any AI service. We do not use AI to process what you write in OwnMode.

Safety messages

Text you type is checked for crisis language so we can show you support contacts. On the web this check runs in your browser and on our server, and the text is not sent to any other service for this purpose.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase: sign-in and the database that holds your account data.
• Cloudflare: web hosting and delivery. Upstash: request rate limits.
• Resend: sending sign-in codes, account emails and replies to support requests. We send marketing email only if you agreed to it, and each message has an unsubscribe link.
• PostHog (U.S. endpoint): product analytics, only if you allow analytics. It receives feature events, app version and a pseudonymous identifier. It does not receive your instruction text, and session replay and autocapture are off.
• Apple and Google: store purchases and push delivery in the native apps.

These providers can process data outside Korea, including in the United States.

Your controls

• Turn web analytics on or off at any time in the page footer.
• Export your Manual, and delete your account, on the account page. Deleting your account removes your account data.
• Unsubscribe from email with the link in any email, or change your preferences in the app.

Retention

We keep account data while your account exists. When you delete your account we remove it, except records we must keep for security, unresolved disputes or legal duties, and purchase records, which are kept without your identity attached. Support requests are sent to us by email and are not stored in our database; they stay in our support mailbox until the request is resolved. We have not set a fixed retention period beyond this.
